SYLVANIA, OH (PRESS RELEASE) - Lourdes University is bringing back its popular Cabaret Series, hosted by the Franciscan Center. Beginning this fall, community members have the opportunity to enjoy cabarets by the following revered musical acts:
Friday, October 14 - Bob Wurst and Eddie Boggs
Bob Wurst, with his former bandmates, has opened for Country giant Alabama and as a solo artist, he received the Male Vocalist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year awards from the Lake Erie West People’s Choice Awards. Eddie Bogg's has opened for such performers as Lee Greenwood, Tom. T. Hall, Ralph Stanley, Blood, Sweat & Tears, and The Mamas and Papas. Together, the duo will perform Enjoy 50s rock, country and folk music.
Friday, November 4 - The Nu-Tones
Since 1982, The Nu-Tones have been entertaining the masses with convincing versions of British Invasion and new wave songs. They have performed concerts with Donny Iris, The Spencer Davis Group, Meat Loaf, Mitch Ryder, The Romantics and Three Dog Night. Friday, January 27 - Cynthia Kaay Bennett Trio

Saturday, February 18 - Night Session
Night Session is a full instrumentation big band from the greater Toledo and Northwest Ohio area. Night Session puts the "pizzazz in the jazz" and their excitement in doing so is what transmits to audiences and dancers. Friday, March 16 - Johnny Reed & the Houserockers
Johnny Reed & The Houserockers is a “let's-rock-till-dawn,” blues-rock sensation from Toledo, Ohio.
The band's reputation for its explosive live shows propelled them to win the "Northwest Ohio Blues Challenge" four times over (‘01, ‘02, ’03 and ’09) and the "Southeast Ohio Blues Challenge" in ‘04. The group has played throughout the United States and Canada and has shared the stage with the likes of Bo Diddley, Dr. John, James Cotton, War, Tower of Power, Leon Russell and Savoy Brown.
