Brookview dental to offer free dental care to those in need | Events
SYLVANIA, OH (Toledo News Now) - It's become an annual tradition in Sylvania, free dental work as a Valentine’s Day gift.
Brookview Dental has donated over $80,000 of free dental care to those needing care who cannot afford it. In a few weeks they will be opening their doors once again.
For the sixth consecutive year, Brookview dental will hold their 'Smiles from the Heart' program on Saturday, February 16.
Anyone 18 years of age or older in need of dental care can show up at the Sylvania Avenue office for dental care free of charge.
The event is held every year on the Saturday closest to Valentine’s Day as a gift to the community.
The event is first come, first serve, so officials recommend arriving at least an hour before their doors open at 7:30 a.m.
So far, Brookview dental has given free services to almost 500 men and women.
The staff of Brookview is more than happy to help those less fortunate, and know that the service is much needed.
“It means a lot, both to them and to us providing the service. It also helps keep people out of emergency rooms, where they're basically getting prescriptions, not care, and they're just delaying the inevitable trouble. So it really is a win win for everybody," said Todd Schultz, DDS with Brookview dental.
