Police: Suspect stole from deployed soldier

SYLVANIA TOWNSHIP, OH (Toledo News Now) – Sylvania Township Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect they say stole money from a soldier currently fighting for his country.

Police say the suspect transferred money out of the soldier’s account and bought money orders at a Sylvania Township business. The soldier is from Appling, Georgia but currently deployed in Afghanistan, police said.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to call Sylvania Township Police at 419-882-2055.
